Gerardo specializes in the retail and commercial sectors for the auto parts industry in Mexico.He started his career at Organización Soriana (Mexico´s second largest retailer) where from 2001 to 2006 he held various positions in merchandising, supply chain import / export, private label and product development.In 2006, Gerardo joined AutoZone de Mexico to help the merchandising team get started, and for 7 years he performed and developed critical skills as Senior Category Manager for both the hard parts and sales floor divisions. From 2013-2015, he directed the Visual Merchandising team were he and his team created exceptional strategies pertaining to planograms, flexograms, POP material, and secondary placement promotions. His contributions had a positive impact on the square foot profitability of the stores. Finally in 2015, Gerardo was assigned a new role – Merchandising and Marketing Commercial Director – where he built a 3-year strategic and tactical plan to improve sales performance for the professional channel.Gerardo joined the N.A. Williams team in March 2016.
Gerardo is a native of Guatemala. He has lived in several countries since 1997, including the US and Mexico. He currently holds a minor degree in International Commerce & Finance from Monterrey Institute of Technology (ITESM) and a Global MBA from Thunderbird Business School.
Gerardo and his family currently live in Monterrey, Mexico.
